Noble Studios Donates Digital Services to Discovery Museum
Seeking to positively impact a local non-profit organization, Reno-based digital marketing agency Noble Studios’ community outreach program, Noble Deeds, recently awarded nearly $100,000 in pro bono digital services to the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum. The donation includes a complete overhaul of the organization’s website and marketing services aimed at improving its digital marketing effectiveness. Most importantly, it will help an organization that aims to inspire “curiosity, creativity and the joy of lifelong learning” in children and people of all ages in the Truckee Meadows.
The new site, which launched March 9, includes new features to make it easier for parents and children to find events and classes that will inspire them to learn more about science, math and other subjects. The largest component to the new website is a Content Management System (CMS). Having a CMS provides The Discovery’s marketing team the ability to maintain the website without any HTML/CSS experience. The site can be found at http://www.nvdm.org/.
“The Discovery is excited to unveil its brand new website created by Noble Studios. Having a user-friendly, responsive and feature-rich website is an important part of the museum’s transformation from children’s museum to world-class, hands-on science center,” said The Discovery’s Marketing and Communications Director, Patrick Turner.
Opened in 2011, the Discovery is a “hands-on museum dedicated to inspiring lifelong learning in science, technology, engineering, art, math and the world around us,” according to its mission statement.
“This new site allows The Discovery to focus on engaging, quality content that speaks to its core audience across all platforms.” said Noble Studios COO and co-founder, Season Lopiccolo. “We are honored to work with a group that proactively encourages the young minds of this community to grow and thrive.”
2015 was the second year Noble Studios issued a call for entries for digital services donations. The five-member voting committee’s primary goals were to elevate a regional nonprofit’s brand, make a significant impact on the northern Nevada community and select the nonprofit project which best utilized all of the digital marketing agency’s services from strategic planning to design and development to measurement.
