Noble Studios Helps Clean 1500 ft. of Tahoe Rim Trail

To celebrate Noble Studios’ ninth anniversary, eight Noblebots along with Noble’s mascot “Notorious P.I.G.” escaped to the tippy-top of Mount Rose (elevation: 10,778 ft.) to help build new trail for the Tahoe Rim Trail’s Tahoe Meadows Interpretive section. Noble is always looking for ways to give back to the Reno-Tahoe community. A place we call home and love so much!

“Each year, volunteers devote thousands of hours to clearing downed trees, repairing trail tread, fixing signage and building new trails and trail connections on the Tahoe Rim Trail. Working cooperatively with the US Forest Service and other trail partners, the TRTA works to maintain a safe, sustainable, and fun trail system.” – TahoeRimTrail.org

It was unbelievably exhausting yet an extremely rewarding experience. We definitely SCHOOLED that mountain and kicked out about 1500 ft. of new trail in mostly bedrock! I realize 1500 ft. may not seem like a lot, but look at the photos. Notice the treacherous inclines, unsettled ground, and serious tools.

After a long day of labor-intensive “noble” deeds, we setup camp at the summit and enjoyed delicious food, Catch Phrase, and smores by the fire. If you aren’t familiar with Catch Phrase, it is an incredibly addictive game. I highly recommend, so long as it isn’t midnight in a very super crowded campground…oops!

If you are interested in volunteering at the Tahoe Rim Trail, please visit TahoeRimTrail.org. The association is always looking for volunteers to help maintain and enhance the trail as well as offer program support. Hurry up though! The season is almost up. Last day to volunteer is October 20.
