Noble Studios Takes Top Honors in MobileWebAwards
Continuing a strong run of national recognition, Noble Studios recently picked up a handful of top industry awards for its mobile design and development capabilities.
The MobileWebAwards, presented annually by the Boston-based Web Marketing Association, recognized Noble with Best University Mobile Website for its work with Queens University of Charlotte as well as Best Manufacturing Mobile Website for Noble’s work with Haws. The Queens site also took Best in Show for the MobileWebAwards.
According to the WMA, its awards programs “are for more than just pretty pictures, they use expert judges to review seven equally-weighted criteria to reward those who surpass the standard of excellence in web development.”
Noble COO Season Lopiccolo said winning the trio of WMA awards was a great way to end 2014.
“It is exciting to be recognized for the hard work and dedication of our team,” she said. “Our ultimate motivation is to exceed the client’s expectations, and this is the icing on the cake.”
In addition to the MWAs, Noble also won Davey Awards for its work with Autodesk (Enterprise Professional Services Website and Enterprise Visual Appeal) and for Elance (Professional Services Website).
Queens University of Charlotte
With the Queens project, Noble set out to create a personalized experience that broke free of the canned campus tour. Queens is a small, private college in the heart of Charlotte, North Carolina, boasting a classic southern campus and first-class student development opportunities.
The client wanted to showcase not only the diversity and opportunity of the school, but the proximity to Charlotte attractions and the school’s internship opportunities and travel abroad program.
Noble created a highly personalized interactive tour based on student interests while touching on all the verticals of Noble’s Think/Make/Measure process. As prospective students took the virtual tour, they were shown the benefits of attending Queens over larger institutions.
Noble designed and developed the site so the mobile experience was simplified without losing the overall mood and interactive experience.
For HawsCo., a manufacturer and retailer of hydration stations, Noble’s team designed a new responsive site that feels more like an e-commerce site with a “how to buy” button, connecting consumers with nearby sales representatives and distributors.
Customers now find it easier to find the key products, parts and distributor information, thanks to a simplified top navigation menu.
Visitors who click on products can filter their options. They can choose the hydration station, for example, and filter by applications, finishes, installation type and more than a dozen features. When visitors click on a product, the site also displays related products, detailed 360-degree views of products and an optional project list to keep track of purchases.
By designing and developing within a cloud-based content management system, we made it easier for the Haws staff to manage site updates from anywhere.
